I've been really lax in the blogging lately. For that I apologize. But I've been darn busy!

First the training for the tri is going pretty well. I did a mini tri on Monday, just to see how it really feels to go from swimming kinda hard to biking kinda hard to running kinda hard. Swim to bike, no big deal. Bike to run, much bigger deal. My calves were on FIRE! So, now I know I need to do more bricks and stretch the calves in T2.

We went to Williamsburg with the fam last weekend. It was a pretty good trip. Some issues with sleeping arrangements, but they got worked out quickly. We hit up Busch Gardens the first day. It was cool. K went on all the rollercoasters, since now she's tall enough. I went on them all too, but with much more trepidation than she. We ate some decent food, walked a lot, and generally had a good time.

The second day was Colonial Williamsburg. Ejdo and I decided to go on a bike ride first, since the tri is very close to where we were staying. We got a little lost getting there and didn't really ride the course all that much, but we had a good time. A quick shower and change and it was off to meet up with the others for lunch.

Colonial Williamsburg was impressive. All the artisans are real, they actually make all the stuff thats on display. The kids got to "make bricks" and we saw General Lafayette. At the end of the day there was a thing where the band played and the "unit" fired their guns and a cannon. Smaller than the Skipper, but still cool stuff.

Back to work after that, and now its Friday again. We're off to the lake tonight to spend the weekend with everyone. Next weekend Brian turns 30, so we're going to go down to their place and make fun of him for being old.
