I have been a blogging slacker once again. Its amazing how something that really doesn't take much time out of the day can get easily left behind in the hustle and bustle of life.
The Steelers are frustrating the hell out of me once again. They play like Gods for 3 quarters, then fall to pieces in the 4th. I mean, the Bengals beat us. The Bengals! Just sit and ponder that for a moment.
The Chargers really should have won that game on Sunday night. The Steelers were practically letting Phillip Rivers do whatever he liked. He had two drives in the 4th quarter that I don't think took more than 3 minutes total. And the two kickoff issues!! Are you kidding me?! That was easily one of the more difficult football games I've watched in a long, long time.
Luckily, the Hokies are helping ease my pain. They're kicking ass this year in all the right ways. Tyrod is showing himself to be a real quarterback, not a "dual threat" that really doesn't throw the ball all that often. This week against Duke (which was one of the most poorly officiated games I think I've ever seen) he threw for over 300 yards and rushed for.....1. Now thats what a QB's stats should look like! Ryan Williams is kicking butt at RB. As long as they don't blow anything for themselves, we could have a damn good year.
And hockey has started!!! God its a great time of year. The Pens are 2-0 with wins against the Rangers and the Islanders so far. The Caps kicked some serious butt against the Maple Leafs too. Pens got their rings the weekend before the first game. They're huge!!
Add to that the fact that we're attempting our first century this weekend with a bunch of RBR'ers. Should be a big challenge for us, but I'm really excited about it. Plus, I get to plan another party for after the ride.
Pictures of the century to come in a few days I'm sure!
