Just checking in. Basement is almost done. Pics of before, during, and after should come sometime early next week.

Computer is almost fixed. Just need to install a few more drivers.
Watching basketball and hockey, drinking a good beer, and digesting a pretty damn good dinner. Made a fake fried catfish. Really tasty without all the hassle of actually frying.
My bracket is doing pretty good; the two games that are on now are both going my way. The Caps were winning big, 3-1 in the first period, but are up 4-3 now. They shouldn't let these teams hang around. The Pens are looking so much better. Their game the other night vs. the Flames was so exciting to watch.
Life is pretty good right now. Here is a beautiful shot one of my "interfriends" took this morning. He's a fantastic photographer and can find beauty in the dreariest day.

Well it has been an interesting few weeks.
We ripped apart the basement and started our mini-remodel. At this point we're almost done, which is nice. We've put down new flooring, painted everything and are hopefully finishing the trim tonight.
I might even be able to show you pictures soon too. Our home computer fried its hard drive, so its been hard to do anything computer related. But, we got a new hard drive and more RAM, so once we figure out how to install it all we should be back in business.
Mike and Michelle got a new dog, a Norwegian Elkhound named Bandit. He's pretty cute, old, but cute. I've been calling him "El Bandito". He and Sawyer haven't entirely figured out who is in charge yet, but I'm sure they will soon.
Aside from that not much else is new. Work is work for both of us. Sawyer is fine, getting a little done with the renovation though.
Pictures when I can. Love to all!

This weekend there was a program at the park called "Women of Leesylvania". Two re-enactors came and showed what it was like to be around in the 1830s at the park. There were games, paper dolls, basket weaving, and, rather unfortunately for me, an additional dress to model.
The girls were speaking with one of the re-enactors when I hear the words, "Would you girls like it if we dressed your mother up?"
I responded that she was welcome to dress up their mother, but she wasn't in attendance and that I was their aunt. ;-) But the damage was done. Half an hour and one hilarious video later, here I was in all my layers of glory.
Admittedly, it wasn't as bad as I thought, and the kids thought it was great, so I can't really complain that much. That being said, I only had it on for 15 minutes or so and the corset didn't have any bones in it.
After my public humiliation, we decided to go for a walk on the beach and go to the playground. The girls had fun looking for shells and we got some good pictures together.
After the playground, we were off to Wegmans for some cookies. These girls keep a busy schedule and had to be home in time for cosmic bowling that evening. A good time was had by all.
Running a little behind, but here goes....
Last week we got an awsome snowstorm Sunday into Monday. Around 6 inches of snow fell, which for NoVa is quite a lot of snow. So of course, no work on Monday. We spoke with Stephanie and Jason on Sunday night and decided that a morning at the dog park was appropriate.
So around 9 on Monday morning, off we went. Its about a mile and a half (each way) to walk up there, and it was actually rather treacherous. Here are some shots from the frivolity that followed in the park. Laika and Sawyer had a great time. We were all alone at the park and it was wonderful.
